TORONTO, Ont. (18/11/2012) - Kay Im holds up a new Canadian $20 bill she received after going grocery shopping in Toronto, Ont. on Sunday Nov. 18, 2012. The new $20 bill is the country's most widely used bank note and went into circulation last week. According to the Bank of Canada website, the polymer bills are more secure and durable than earlier ones and are easy to check and hard to counterfeit. Photo by Tom Hicken.

The women who curl bring their lives into the sport, from discussing the gear to long chats about their daily lives and families.  The Wednesday Night Ladies League out of the Napanee District Curling Club is a hub of social and physical activity for many women in the community.  From the beginners, to those who have curled all their lives, these women spend a few hours a week competing on the ice together, before grabbing a cold one after the last end.  Photo by Julia McKay.

PICTON, Ont. (20/10/2012) - Russ Burrows (L), 91, and Shirley Sheady, 77, spend time at the Picton Legion on Oct. 20, 2012 in Picton, Ontario. The Legion is where they went on their first date in June of this year. They were married in late October at an age neither expected to find love at again. They felt like teenagers all over again, but love at this age also has another benefit. "When you get to the age we are now, it's a lot more special because you know what you've got," says Sheady. OTTAWA Ont. (22/12/2011) — A technician at CHEO (The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) watches a monitor containing the data from the breathing test 12 year old Noamie Lemyre is performing. Lemyre suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and this is a normal test she gets every time she goes for a check up. These check ups can be between every 2 weeks - 6 weeks.
